“Nina Simone, phenomenal”! At age twelve she debuted with a
classical recital. Her parents, who had taken seats in the front row, were
forced to move to the back of the recital hall to make way for white people.
Nina Simone refused to play until her parents were moved back to the front row;
she was just twelve years old!
Our gifts are in us, and we
should be as strong and fearless as a twelve year old about giving them out to
people freely or out of fear or rejection. It’s yours for keeps so keep it and
take good care of it. Always, you are all Phenomenal!
